​Hush That Hullabaloo! is a rollicking, rhyming, read-aloud set in Scotland, full of Scottish words that will delight wee ones as they repeat the fun phrases. Grandpa Goose is grouchy as the lads and lassies make a mess in his "hoose" and lots of noise—a hullabaloo! Children are encouraged to join Grandma with her soothing refrain, "Wheesht, wheesht, / It's only the wee ones. / Wheesht, wheesht, / Only the wee ones." Can they figure out what the hullabaloo is all about before Grandpa Goose does? 

Donna Marie Merritt is the author of 6 books of poetry for adults and 17 books for children. Her stories and poems have appeared in school reading programs, language arts books, Highlights High Five, Highlights Hello, and American Library Association’s Book Links. Merritt's poems have also been selected for a number of anthologies for both children and adults, including National Geographic's Book of Nature Poetry, and Little, Brown's One Minute Till Bedtime.
