Charlie Zahm

Charlie ZahmCharlie Zahm has appeared at every Glasgow Lands Scottish Festival and Ceilidh. Charlie's strong baritone voice will be a cheerful addition to the evening's entertainment. Charlie's original maritime music is influenced by one of his favorite places, Nova Scotia, where he has family roots, and where much of his musical tradition is also rooted. His latest CD, "A Walk in the Irish Rain" was released in the Spring of 2001. Back by popular demand, we are certain that Charlie will add a great deal to the evening's entertainment. The Brigadoons

The BrigadoonsThe Brigadoons are well known at games, festivals, Burns' celebrations, ceilidhs and wherever Celtic music is played. This popular group will again be performing during the Ceilidh . The four members of the Brigadoons, Rob Taylor, Denis Carr, Jackie Smith and Luane Doyle come from Glengarry, Ontario. Their traditional Celtic music has been pleasing audiences in Canada, the United States and elsewhere since 1971. The Brigadoons are known and appreciated locally having performed at Glasgow Lands Scottish Festival and Robbie Burn's Night in Springfield hosted by the St. Andrews Society of Pioneer Valley. Jodee James - Celtic Sisters

Jodee James - Vocals & Guitar: Simon Jones of Folk Roots says about Jodee, "with her voice like a nightingale she spins century old tales in with her own deft touches to create modern settings for ancient music and lore." Celtic Beat Magazine says her "beautiful earthy voice truly reflects the realm of nature and the yearning of love. with a timeless quality that is particularly impressive." A top Celtic artist in MP3 sales, Jodee performs both traditional folk songs and original compositions accompanying herself on guitar, or with her band, throughout North America.

Cady Finlayson - Fiddle: New Age Voice Magazine states, "Cady Finlayson is one of America's top Celtic fiddlers, expressing a level of soulfulness not commonly heard." Cady Finlayson has brought her spirited Irish fiddling to audiences in 25 states. Music from her Harp and Shamrock CD is featured in Irish baseball film, "The Emerald Diamond". Her playing can also be heard on the soundtrack to Irish film, "Snakes and Ladders".

Arlene Muzyka - Percussion, Harmonium, Keyboards & Backing Vocals: Multi-instrumentalist Arlene Muzyka adds her own blend of ethnic percussion to the Celtic Sisters Show. Her playing has been heard throughout the United States at venues such as Longwood Gardens, Milwaukee Irish Cultural Center and the University of Pittsburgh. Arlene has performed with groups including the New York Choral Society, Harmonium and the Jodee James Band.

Joining us for the first time, The Celtic Sisters will playing two sets at the Festival.

Celtic Roots Band. MacTalla Mo’r, Gaelic for Great Echo, an exciting Celtic Band, is taking America by storm! MacTalla features the The Great Highland Bagpipes, Piano, Vocals and Bodhran in a dynamic mix of Traditional Celtic Roots, Rock, Blues and Jazz. Along with Traditional Irish and Scottish tunes, MacTalla's original songs, arrangements and driving rhythms create an engaging and magical blend of the past and the present. Joining us for the first time, they will playing two sets at the Festival.
